My name is Emily Heim and my love for graphic design began my senior year of high school. I began developing the skills and knowledge needed to advance and haven’t waivered since. I graduated from Iowa Central Community College in May of 2006 with a degree in Web Technology and an AA degree. While attending ICCC, I learned web design, graphic design, video and multimedia design. I loved it all but knew that I was missing an important element: print design. I continued my education and earned my Bachelors of Arts from the University of Northern Iowa in December of 2007 with a degree in Graphic Communications. While attending UNI, I learned the print side of design which was the last piece of the puzzle.

Not only did my educational background aide in my experience and skills but my internships, part time jobs and full time job as a Graphic Design Specialist have added to my portfolio. Working as a company’s sole graphic designer allowed me to learn more about myself as a designer as well as the business industry.

With my educational and professional background I have been able to encompass all four suites of the design field to become that one stop shop for friends, family and businesses and become your premier freelance graphic designer. I specialize in corporate branding and identity, marketing start up plans, wedding specialty stationery, senior graduation announcements, VHS to DVD conversion, video slideshows and offer many more services.
